The Colossus Is Gigantic.
This Massive Coffee Roaster Drum roasts up to 20 pounds of coffee beans and comes fully assembled and ready to go! Fits inside of your Barbeque unit and attaches to your existing Heavy Duty Rotisserie unit (must be a rotisserie that has only 2 tines on each prong unit). If you do not have a Rotisserie unit for your BBQ you will need to have a Heavy Duty Rotisserie that can handle at least 50 pounds of weight (beans + weight of drum). This is "The Colossus" Model which is a 100% 18 gauge Stainless Steel construction. Welded Construction The end cap plates are 14 gauge Stainless Steel; the cage is 18 gauge Perforated Stainless Steel and has 1/8" Diameter or 3/16" Perforated Holes (your choice); the interior finwork (total fins: 4) are 18 gauge stainless steel, are all 1 3/4" in height and go the full length of the drum. This drum is suggested for commercial high-volume roasting, or similar heavy demand roasting applications. For average home roasting use, it is suggested that you purchase my less expensive $109.95 Standard Aluminum sidewall design or $209.95 Premium 20 gauge Stainless Steel caged design. Also available for 10 lb. bean capacity is my "EL SUPREMO" drum at $499.95.
This is a JUMBO drum (end cap plates are 13 inches in diameter; drum cylinder is 12 inches in diameter by 26 inches in length). It is built like a fortress, using welded construction. This drum is designed for the commercial coffee roaster. You must have a BBQ that will fit this big drum and a Heavy Duty rotisserie (2 tines on each prong set, not 4. If you have 4 tines, 2 tines on each prong set can be cut off to accomodate this drum). Sorry but no alterations are made on the size of the drum. It only comes in the size referenced above.
This drum is designed to easily handle up to 20 pounds of coffee beans. Beans are put in drum through one of the end caps, part of which is hinged for easy access; other cap is permanently attached.

We fit this drum to your current rotisserie which MUST be Heavy Duty and have 2 tines on each prong set (not 4 tines on each). You would place the unit inside of your BBQ unit, attached to your Rotisserie Unit. We also provide complete details on attaching the Coffee Roasting Drum to your Rotisserie Unit.

Q: I do not have the rotisserie to put the Coffee Roaster Kit on. Do you have suggestions on a good Rotisserie unit for this application?
A: Yes. It MUST be heavy duty, able to support 50 pounds, with Electric Motor. Email me at len@coffeeroastersclub.com if you wish to have me provide suggestions on rotisserie and BBQ type.
Q: Are there any non-metal parts that are part of the drum unit?
A: Absolutely not. The Coffee Roasting drum is 100% 18 gauge Stainless Steel metal construction. All welded, with high strength stainless steel rivets used in key areas.
Q: Does this roaster have vertical fins inside of the roasting drum to help evenly distribute the beans during the roasting process? I cannot tell from the picture.
A: Yes in fact it does. The fins (4 of them) are attached inside of the drum, and significantly help in the roasting process.
Q: Is this Coffee Roaster Kit designed for Gas or Electric Grills, or both?
A: While you may be able to get a decent roast with an electric grill, a gas grill is the preferred type as you can regulate the heat much quicker, which helps out with the roasting process.
